In the early hours of November 6, 2024, Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump was elected as the 47th president of the United States. This marked Trump’s return to the White House after previously serving as the 45th president.
In a closely contested race, Trump secured a majority of electoral votes, capturing key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, in a display of strong support in pivotal regions. With high voter turnout across the nation, the Republican candidate’s path to victory involved critical wins in states that were heavily contested throughout the campaign.
Republicans also secured victories in the Senate, regaining control of the chamber.
As of now, the results for the House of Representatives remain undetermined, with key districts still counting votes. The outcomes of these races will ultimately shape the balance of power in the House.
Further updates and a complete breakdown of the election results will be provided later today.
