Penn announced on March 27th, 2025 that the applicant review process for the Class of 2029 had been completed and that decision letters had been sent to admitted applicants. A record-breaking 72,000 applicants were reviewed through QuestBridge Match, Early Decision, and Regular Decision. Early Decision students received their decision letters on December 19 after the review of 9,500 applications. In a heartwarming video compiled and released by The Daily Pennsylvanian, admitted applicants are seen opening their decisions on video.

Penn Admissions’s statement noted that this year’s admitted students “represent Penn’s largest cohort from the city of Philadelphia, as well as students from all 50 states, over 100 countries, and U.S. territories”. The statement concluded by saying, “Each of these students embodies the spirit of Penn: a dynamic blend of intellectual curiosity, determination, and joy.”

Penn’s admitted student days, known as Quaker Days, will be held April 10-12. The event includes a welcome season at the Palestra, campus tours, events around campus, and special sessions hosted by each of the colleges.

Welcome to the Class of 2029!
